My last entry for the PTI Anniversary Tags Challenge!

Good Morning!

It's a miserable day here in the North East of the UK, so I thought I'd brighten it up a little with another 4x4 card and tag for the Anniversary Tags challenge at Papertrey.

This is my last entry for the challenge, as I must get on with some uni work today!

For this little card I chose to use Ali Miles' tag. It's a beautiful flower image with a whimsical cutesy feel to it. I love the circle frame round it.

I have to say I am not one for using digital images in my card making. I tried it a while back when Hero Arts introduced their digital images but I couldn't get them to suit my style. I guess I didn't try hard enough, as I really enjoyed using these tag images and I can see me using them again.

I think one of the reasons I have enjoyed using them so much yesterday is that they co-ordinate so nicely with the other PTI products like the dies they have!

For the card I punched out the tag twice and coloured it with my Copic Markers. With the second tag I just coloured and cut out the flower and adhered it to the first tag with foam pads to give it some dimension. I then cut out a Limitless Layer with Raspberry Fizz CS and used the circle layer to cut out the middle of the frame. I then covered the frame with Star Dust Stickles!

You can just make out that the pink limitless layer is layered onto a white layer. The tag image is adhered to the centre of the layers and then layered onto a Mat Stack 1 frame, the middle of which is cut out using Fillable Frames die no.10

A piece of RF twill and the Celebrate sentiment finishes off the card nicely.

For the tag I used Tag Sale no.1 die and Hawaiian Shores CS. The flower layer is made exactly the same as the card. I stamped the sentiment and this time used a SU! label punch and added some metallic nail accents.

I wish I had time to make a few more cards and tags using the Anniversary Tags download from PTI but they will have to wait for another day! The festivities continue today over on Nichole's Blog,so be sure to check them out! Another FAB prize is up for grabs along with a NEW feature and a challenge!

I'd best be off and do some uni work so I can work on the challenge later!

Thanks for stopping by!

PTI Anniversary Tags - Melissa's Tag

Yes, I'm back again! This is my second post for today, so be sure to check out my other post HERE

As soon as I saw Melissa's tag I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it!

Again, I kept it simple with a 4x4" card and a matching tag using Tag Sale no.2

I used Polka Dot Basics 1 to stamp the polka dots on the Spring Rain CS. I then used the cloud dies to cut out the clouds. I adhered the panel to the card base using foam pads.

I used the Limitless Layers dies again to mat the tag image which again is adhered to with foam pads.

I coloured the image using my At You Spica Glitter pens to add a lil bit of sparkle.

I can't wait to use this little ensemble to cheer someone up! I hope to be back later with yet another project!

As they say 'you have to be in it to win it!'

Thanks for stopping by - again!

PTI Anniversary Tags - Dawns Tag

Hey All!

It's the second day of the Anniversary Celebrations over on Nichole's blog HERE and today they have an AMAZING prize and a FAB download of tags designed by the PTI Stamp Designers.

I couldn't wait to get using the designs and spent a little time in the studio this afternoon. The first tag design I chose to work with was Dawn's.

I just can't resist Dawn's colour combination of Summer Sunrise and Hawaiian Shores and the pattern is lovely too.

Using Dawn's project HERE as inspiration I made a card and tag ensemble. The card is a sweet 4x4" card and the tag uses the Tag Sale no.3 die.

I started by using the tag image in Photoshop to cover the front of the 4x4" card. Then I printed 4 more of the tag images individually to use for the focal points and the smaller of the butterflies.

I was inspired by Maile's card HERE for the LO and arrangement of my elements.

Above is a close up of the focal point of the card. I used the Mat Stack 2 die and cut it in half and adhered it to the edge of the card. This also helps to hide the ribbon thats adhered to the card.

I used the Limitless Layer die to cut out the mat of Summer Sunrise, I think this makes it look like a nice Sunflower! I added a butterfly cut using the Butterfly Dreams Die and stamped it with a butterfly from the set too. The smaller butterfly is punched using a Martha Stewart punch.

The sentiment on the tag is from Fillable Frames no.9

Well, I will be back soon with another project to show you using another of the tag images!

Thanks for stopping by!

I Love You SO Much!

I'm back again with a NEW card share! I found some time to craft this afternoon whilst my first ever banana bread was baking in the oven!

I have to say both the banana bread and the card came out well! I didn't get a picture of the bread but here is a picture of the card!

I thought I would make another card for the A Passion for Papertrey challenge. I kept this one super duper simple as I think I might give this one to my Fiance for Valentines Day! It has to be a little bit slushy with hearts and all after all it is Valentines Day!

It's hard to see in the photo, but the be mine heart and lil pink outline heart are filled with glossy accents! Yummy! I used my PTI 2011 Love Tags and some Signature Greetings for this card, along with the Mat Stack 4 and Fillable Frames no.7 die.

I've also had a lil colour change on the blogo today! A change is good as a rest as they say!

I'm off to blog hop a little and then spend some quality time with my man and Mr Cat!

Thanks for stopping by!

The Party HAS Started!

Hey!

The party has started over at Nichole's Blog for the Papertrey Anniversary! You can check it out HERE! The first contest to win a super duper stash prize is to select your favourite project that features PTI products.

I have chosen a recent project that uses one of my favourite products and that is the Papertrey Dies. They are just FAB and the ones that co-ordinate with stamp sets - Oh My I am in heaven! LOL!

This card uses the die that co-ordinates with the Butterfly Dreams Stamp Set and the Mat Stack 3 Stamp Set and uses one of my FAVE colours of the year Hawaiian Shores! You can check out my original post HERE even though it wasn't that long ago that I posted!

I keep my fingers crossed in all hopes that they bring out a die set to co-ordinate with Turning a New Leaf Stamp Set! Lol!

Thanks for stopping by & be sure to check out the festivities!

i love .....

PTI!

Lol! Hello peeps! Sorry it's been a while since I posted a card! Iv'e been a little busy with my degree and a new blog / website, you can check it out HERE.

Anyway, February marks the Anniversary of Papertrey Ink and peeks for another release. The anniversary celebrations were FAB last year with lots of inspiration, challenges and giveaways so check it out HERE!

My NEW PTI stash arrived on Monday, so I found a lil spare half hour last night and created this card for A Passion for Papertrey Ink's current challenge.

The challenge at the moment is to use this inspiration photo.

Apart from the photo being really yummy and making me want cookies, I found some inspiration to make the card below!

Red, Kraft & Cream is one of my FAVE colour combos. As usual my card is CAS. I love the Mat Stack series of stamp sets and I had to ink it up! I combined it with an image from the Love Tags 2011 set and a sentiment from Tiny Treats Valentine. The background is stamped using Background Basics Valentine Oh, and the lil brown heart was from Itty Bitty Bird!

I used a red Spica pen to colour the hearts on the tree and then added some glossy accents to add some shine to the sparkle! I also added a bit of glossy accents to the small brown heart too.

I had best be getting on, I have a new post for my NEW blog to write and LOTS & LOTS of work to do!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Birthday Wishes

Hey All!

Happy Sunday! It's been a relaxing weekend around here and I've loved it! I found some inky time yesterday evening :) I decided to have a play with some more NEW PTI goodies along with some much loved PTI goodies!

Again, this card firs into the A Passion for Papertrey challenge - Backgrounds. I used the background stamp from the Round Round Anniversary set. I used SU! Bermuda Bay & Summer Sun inks and stamped the background alternating the colours.

I used the Mat Stack 2 die & stamp set and the sentiment is from Round Round. I love the Mat Stack 2 die & having the stamps just completes the look. I added a cut out leaf from Turning a New Leaf for the main focus of the card. I layered these on top of 2 strips of ribbon. One strip of Summer Sunrise & one strip of Hawaiian Shores, both satin ribbon. The sentiment layer & leaf hides the joins of the ribbon.

I liked the card as it was but thought it needed something extra! So, I added a butterfly to the upper right hand side. For this I used the Butterfly Dreams die & stamp set, along with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch. Some bling to the butterfly & also the either end of the Mat Stack finishes the card off!

I very rarely use yellow in my creations, more so as a focus colour, so I really stepped out of my comfort zone for this one. I think it looks so cheery & bright with the Hawaiian Shores & white that I might just use this colour combo again! I'm sure whoever gets this card for their birthday will feel the cheer too!

Thanks for stopping by & enjoy the rest of your weekend!
