PTI Stamp-a-faire Challenge 4

I'm really enjoying some down time in my studio, away from designing & applying for jobs etc.! Playing is SO much fun! I'm glad that Karl has been occupied with his Xbox & now the boxing so I can quietly play!

Anyway, here is the card I made for Challenge no.4 This was a colour challenge using Ripe Avocado, Simply Chartreuse, Hawaiian Shores & Enchanted Evening.

I used a CPS sketch for this card & kept it really simple! The bitty dot paper is Simply Chartreuse whilst the stem & leaves of the flower are stamped in Ripe Avocado. I didn't have a Enchanted Evening button small enough to fit inside the felt flower which is cut using the Flower Fusion 1 die. So I stamped the sentiment in Enchanted Evening & used some embroidery floss too add that colour element.

I made 2 cards in succession so I'll be blogging the next one straight away! I'm getting a little tired now after a lovely day so I'm not sure how many more I will manage to squeeze in!

PTI Stamp-a-faire Challenge 3

HEY!

I'm back with Challenge Card no.3! My blog here hasn't seen this much action since February! LOL!

So this challenge was to use the concept Heather Nichols had used which is incorporating a window and tying ribbon from the edge of the card to the side of the window.

As I already had some Soft Stone CS on my desk I decided to used that as my base card colour again! This time I stamped the Raspberry Fizz Mat Stack 3 Frame onto the layered mat & used the circle die from the limitless layers collection to cut out the window.

I used the leaf image from the Anniversary Round Round set & also the Thank you sentiment. I stamped the image with SU! Kiwi Kiss & added some stickles to the centre of the circles. The ribbon is Summer Sunrise Twill & the button is also Summer Sunrise.

A simple little cheery kind of card! I'm off to have my tea now, but I'm sure I'll be back soon with some more challenge cards!

PTI Stamp-a-faire Challenge 2

After a nice bike ride around Wolviston & Billingham I have come home & retreated back to my studio to make a card for the next challenge!

For this challenge we were to pair up HOT pink I used Raspberry Fizz & a charcoal grey. I used Smokey Shadow. I wanted the RF to really POP off the card so I used Soft Stone as my base card colour rather than white. I think this worked really well.

I decided to break out a couple of older sets in my collection, Friends 'Til The End & Butterfly Dreams.

One can never have too many Thank you cards so I used a sentiment from Mat Stack 1 Collection.

I am glad the nights are light and that it is actually sunny here today so I can take some decent photos of the cards! Well, I will be back shortly with Challenge 3, I need to get my skates on as Challenge 5 has been posted - yikes! I need to fit in tea somewhere too!

Thanks for stopping by!

PTI Stamp-a-faire Challenge 1

So today is the Papertrey Ink Stamp-a-faire, I wan't lucky enough this year to go to the USA for a holiday & go to Stamp-a-faire like I did to CHA last year :(

Still Nichole & the team have included those who couldn't go by hosting lots of fun on her blog and challenges to win the Stamp-a-faire stamp set which I would love to win to give to my friend :)

The first challenge is to create patterned strips created with your favourite design elements.

I decided to break out Button Boutique for the second time. This time I decided to use the cute button stamps to create a background pattern. I also used the zig zag stamp on the left hand panel.

I added the wonderful friend sentiment from the Anniversary Round Round Set. I am super pleased how this card turned out. Looking forward to having a go at the next challenge too.

I off for a lil bike ride first though on my brand new bike :) my present for getting a FIRST in my degree from my hunny :)

Be sure to check out the fun over on Nicholes Blog HERE.

PTI Make it Monday - Reverse Masking

Hello!

Where did those last 4 months go?! It's hard to believe it's been that long since I posted over here! I have now finished my degree and found a lil bit of time to catch up with some crafting! You can check out what I have been up to over on my design website blog HERE!

Anyway, on to todays card! I thought I would have a go at the MIM challenge over on Papertrey Ink which for this week is reverse masking. This is something that I have never really had a go at before so it was nice to have a play!

I was inspired by Mailes card HERE and decided to use the Butterfly Dreams die to create a mask and stamped the In Bloom from Bitty Background Blocks which just covers the butterfly! The sentiment is from Birthday Basics.

I used foam pads to mount each strip onto the base card and added some bling a ling to finish off the butterflies. A little bit of floss and that finished my card!

I hope that it's not 4 months till my next post! Life has been busy as I finished my degree but with the marks I have got it was well worth it! I won't find out my degree classification until 11th July, but I have a busy week in London coming up which might stop me blogging here for a bit but I will be blogging over on my design website! Be sure to check it out HERE!

Tags with Frames

Hello Again!

The challenge on Nichole's blog today is Tags with Frames, this is in celebration the Release of Heather Nicohls' new products Fillable Frames Additions 1 and Tag-its no1 stamps on the 15th Feb.

I have to say my pocket money is gonna be spent up for sure with all the fun things that are coming out this month with Papertrey!

Onto my tag! I had been playing with the Everyday Button Bits set earlier so I decided to reach for the Baby Button Bits set for this tag.

I used the Tag Sale No.3 die and die cut it using Summer Sunrise CS. Then I used the Fillable Frames No.9 die and cut it using Very Vanilla CS from SU! I stamped the co-ordinating frame in Chocolate Chip. I created a mask to stamp the butterfly image onto the frame tag and then adhered it to the larger tag using foam pads.

I paper pieced the butterfly wings with Bitty Dot DP and covered them in star dust Stickles - yummy! I added a Vintage Summer Sunrise button with pink floss to finish the butterfly.

I used the sentiment from the Baby Button Bits set inking and stamping the welcome first cleaning the stamp and stamping the second half underneath.

This tag also fits into the A Passion for Papertrey's current challenge - TAGS! So I think I'll enter this beauty into that challenge too!

I think I will squeeze in one more creation today before my hunny is home from work!

Papertrey Button Challenge

Yesterday was an AMAZING day over on Nichole's Blog! She introduced some lovely products soon to be released! The Button Boutique Stamp set looks gorgeous with endless possibilities. You can check it out HERE.

Anyway, Nichole challenged everyone to make a project using buttons in a creative way. This little number I whipped up this morning as the challenge closes in 9 minutes! Lol!

I used the sweet little cherry leaves and the 'You're so Sweet' sentiment to make this simple card.

I best be off now to link my project up if I want to be in the chance of winning!
