A VERY Belated Happy New Year!

Happy 2011 Everyone!

I know, I know I am VERY late in wishing everyone a Happy New Year! I guess life gets busy and blogging gets neglected! I had a lovely Christmas with my partners family & at New Year my Brother, SIL and Nephew travelled up North to stay. Overall it was lovely & relaxing as I left my job just before Christmas. More of that later, lets get onto something card related!

Today my December PTI goodies arrived and I was over the moon! I have been waiting for these beauties to arrive since the release! So, I spent time organising my new goodies and looking around blog land as always Dawn McVey's colour combos inspire me. THIS card she created brightened up my day. It's SO gloomy here in the North East of the UK and I don't think I've seen the sun for days! So I decided to use the colour combo she used.

I broke out some NEW new goodies and old new goodies for this card! I liked Dawn's LO too, but I don't have any doilies so I changed it up a bit. I used Mat Stack 3 die, a limitless layer die, the die from Dawn's Signature Series Butterfly & a Martha Stewart Butterfly.

This card fits perfectly into the A Passion for Papertrey's current challenge - Background stamping. I used my new Background Basics Sheet Music. I'm sure I will be doing a few more cards for this challenge this weekend as I have lots of Thank you cards to do and also some Birthday cards!

So I mentioned before that I had left my job before Christmas, this is so I can concentrate on my last few months of my design degree. I graduate in June and I am busy designing and creating everyday which is FABULOUS! I have never been happier! I will share more in the next few weeks and even have a new website coming.

Thanks for visiting!
