Link to some FAB blogs I found today

I thought I'd share a couple of cool blogs to checkout :) The first one is for all those who love the cute stamps that Penny Black make. Go HERE to find out all about it. They set a challenge every Saturday in which to use Penny Black stamps.

The second blog I found whilst looking at blogs on the Penny Black blog and finding more blogs and blogs and blogs ......... I think you all get the idea! Not only does Michelle have some cool ideas but is giving away some FAB blog candy! Just go HERE to find out more.

If I get time today I will post a card or two. I've had a busy day taking the poor Mysterio to the vets. The silly boy stayed out all night and got into a fight and is feeling more than sorry for himself! The vet gave him a painkiller and antibiotic and I have to take him back tomorrow so the vet can have a better look at him under sedation. He was in too much pain today.

HA Weekley Challenge 'inchies'

I know I've been a slack blogger recently but I really don't know where the days go! I did have the dreaded dentist this week and cos I'm really phobic of the dentist I have to be sedated - Haha! I lost a day and a half with that I think! LOL! Anyhow I did get around to doing the HA challenge.

For this weeks HA challenge Shari introduced everyone to the world of 'inchies'! The idea was to use a 1" square of card stock and put your design onto that 1" square. This week an order of HA stamps came through the post - finally! I've been waiting for these for ages :)

I was going to put the four 'inchies' of this card in a block, but I wanted a different contemporary look which I feel I achieved with this card.

{Ingredients}
Card: Fushia & Black CS, Light GoldStardust CS
Ink: Memories Black
Stamps: HA CD Thoughtful Messages
Accessories: Gold & Black 3mm Satin ribbon, Flower Gem, Foam Pads

For my second attempt at this challenge I used a design block stamp and cut the image into 'inchies' and mounted them with coloured card. I also incorporated the 'spotlighting' technique shown in a previous challenge week.

{Ingredients}
Card: White, Rose Tint, Pink Sorbet & Milk Chocolate CS
Ink: Impress Chocolate, Colorbox Chalks Pink
Stamps: HA Design Block Butterfly
Accessories: Gold Pearls, Stickles Glitter Glue, Foam Pads, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon & Pink Satin Ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to checkout my blog next week for something exciting!!!

Hero Arts Weekly Challenge '2ways'

Hi Peeps! I thought I'd share my creations for the HA challenge that I've been working on today :)

This weeks challenge from HA was to choose one stamp and use it two different ways. My first card uses a slight variation of 'OCC' sketch. Used my cuttlebug again and loving that machine :) Has to be one of my favourite purchases this year!  As you can see from the two cards I chose to use the small rose as the stamp to use in '2ways'! On this card I put foam pads behind them to give a little dimension. I'm also loving the colour of this card :)

My second card I used the rose as a background. I added some machine stitch to the card which I rarely do, but loving that too. You will probably see more of that to come in my future cards!

{"2ways Ingredients}
Card: White cs, Bazzil 'bling' Pink, Gold & Saffron stardust cs.
Ink: Memories Black, Colorbox Chalks.
Stamps: HA Clear Design Cupcakes, HA Climbing Vine.
Accessories: Glitter glue, Got Flowers, Gem, Organza Ribbon, Scrap of Yellow Ribbon. Foam pads, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots.

Thanks for Looking :)

Mojo Monday Week #41

I promise to share some of my level one work with you all as it is one of my tasks this weekend to sort out my work which is laying about in the garage! So as I'm sorting I will take some photo's :)

I have only created one card this week so far for a challenge I have never entered before and it's Mojo Monday Week #41 over at Poetic Artistry I may even enter it into the HA 'inspiration' challenge this week as I have found a lot of inspiration on this blog. Thanks Julee!

A Few of my HA weekly challenge submissions

Hi Friends, today I thought I would share a few of my submission to the other weekly HA challenges I have participated in. The first challenge I took part in was a 'pink' challenge. The card below was one I had previously made prior to the challenge. It is a special card to me as it is one that I made with mum the last time we were together stamping. I also have to add that it came 3rd in the challenge and I received a $10 gift voucher that I have still yet to spend!!

{A Warm Hello Ingredients}
Paper: White CS, Pink Bazzil Card 2 shades
Stamps: HA A warm hello C4496, HA Dandelion G4917
Ink: ColorBox Chalk Pink
Accessories: Pink satin Ribon

The next weekly challenge I entered was the 'background' challenge. This is my fav card that I submitted this week and I've actually got it for sale in my Etsy shop!

{Friends Forever Ingredients}

Stamps: HA Florentine Scroll S1838, HA Elegant Flower G4916, HA Heartfelt Messages CL150
Ink: Versamark, Colorbox chalks, Memories Black
Accessories: Clear Embossing powder, Gems

The card below was for the HA 'flowers' weekly challenge. I don't usually work with such bright colours but I gave it ago and I think it turned out well. I used the same technique as the previous card, resist embossing, but for this card I used gloss cs instead of matt cs.

{Thanks Ingredients}

Stamps: HA Frames & Messages CL130, HA Designblock Stencil S5032, HA Fashion Flowers LL976
Inks: Colorbox chalks, StazOn Black
Accessories: Fancy ribbon, button

The next card was for last weeks HA 'circle' challenge. This card is also for sale in my Esty shop! I had a go at the 'swing' cards and really enjoyed making it.

Paper: White cs, bright pink cs, Brazzil Black cs
Stamps: HA Designblock birthday S5027, HA Hello birdie CL177, HA Happy everything greetings LL165

Now I am up to this weeks challenge 'gift' and I still haven't got round to making another entry for this weeks challenge. Hopefully I will find some stamping time later :)
In the next few days I hope to post some of my degree design work from level one.
