A Quick Christmas Card

What a busy day I have had so far and it's only just gone lunchtime her in the UK. We travel later tonight to a hotel near Manchester airport then get our flight to Orlando in the morning. I've just got in from taking the cats to their holiday destination - the cattery. What a struggle that was getting them into their boxes!! The looked a bit lost when I left them but I'm sure they will be fine. I still have a few bits to pack as were not taking a lot as I'm sure to be doing A LOT of shopping!!

Anyway back to this card. I LOVE Hero Arts stamps & stuff, but I am also loving the goodies I recently got from Stampin' Up! for instance the ribbons and co-ordinating card stock & papers. If only HA did this. They have a new suggestion box on the Flickr site HERE.

I'm addicted to using these cute Holiday Doves & I have a thing for circles and scalloped circles. I created the background using Versamark and the fantastic flourishes. It's a really simple card and I think I will be making a lot of these when I get back.

This photo below is a close up of the dove, it is attached to the ribbon using thin linen yarn so that is free to move.

{Ingredients}
Card: Whisper White, Real Red, Old Olive (All SU!)
Ink: Versamark, Memories Black
Stamps: HA CD Fantastic Flourishes, Holiday Doves & Seasons Greetings
Accessories: SU! Old Olive 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Thin Linen Yarn, Cricut George & Basic Shapes & Accent Essentials

Thanks for stopping by today, I doubt that I will get anymore card shares uploaded before I go, I have photo's of a few other cards I have made so if I get time I will create some posts at the hotel tonight. As I said in a previous post I'm sure I may get to share a few highlights of my holiday whilst I'm away and I'll be sure to tell you of any bargains I find!!

Beverly, I hope you put your suggestion on the HA site because it really is a great idea.

I am lucky because I have two or three paper stores in the area that have great products. There used to be a discount paper store 5years ago, but alas they've closed. I buy reams of paper when the price is good. I bought a ream of black cardstock that originally sold for $90.00 and snatched it up for $30 several years back. Black goes with everything, so how could I go wrong:)

But sometimes you just don't want to grope about different papers to see if anything matches. I like your idea.

Tag! You're it. But I hope you are ok too. Been popping in to visit and hope you are ok.

Ok, Tag! Visit me at http://arlenesbits.blogspot.com/ and just check out today's tag item. I am at home today, relaxing, as yesterday was not a good day at all. Need some stay at home, nurse a hot cup of tea, sit in the sun, maybe feel some creativity and stamp... have a good day.

Love the Christmas card, Beverley! How are things? Still enjoying my goodies you sent me...especially the embossing folder. :)

Deborah (aka Gigi_001) tagged me, so I've tagged you. If you come to my blog, you can join in the fun.
