Blog Candy Winner!

Hey There!

Finally I find time to post and share the winner of my blog candy! Random.org chose number 5 which is gocanucksgo! Congrats and I will email you! It's been a busy weekend just gone as it was 'The Jolly Girls Outing' down south to two craft shops with my friend Kerry. The first shop we stopped off at was The Stamp Attic owned by Wendy. WOW! What a FAB shop with so many goodies and owned by such a lovely welcoming lady! Hi Wendy!

Then we travelled across and up slightly to Peterborough to Sir Stampalot another FAB shop! So I may have over indulged in crafting and mainly stamping supplies but OH SO WORTH EVERY PENNY! Hope to share some pics some time but you can see some on Kerry's blog HERE!

One last Valentine card share for this year though it's more of a Love themed card! I used more of my PTI goodies for this one!
Again I kept it really simple and it explains itself really!

Papertrey Ink Designer's Colour Challenge using Dawn's Colours!

Happy Wednesday!

Wow! We are half way through the week already! I want this one to reach Friday as quick as possible so my friend Kerry and I can go on a retail therapy outing to to craft shops down south! More on that later!

Today I am sharing 3 cards in 3 separate post for the colour challenge over on Nichole's Blog that ends soon! Last night whilst Karl was watching football I sneaked off into the studio to create a few more cards!
I started the ball rolling with Dawn's Cheery colour combo! Doesn't it just make you smile! Lol!

I used my Labels 1 Nestabilities to cut out the frames and the Sizzix for the Butterflies and aMartha Stewart punch. I then ran the butterflies through the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder.

The stamping again was kept to a minimum for a change and I used Faux Ribbon and a Flourish!

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz & Dark Chocolate
Ink: SU! Chocolate Chip
Stamps: PTI Faux Ribbon & Fancy Flourishes
Accessories: Sizzix Butterfly Die, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Labels 1 Nestabilities, PTI Summer Sunrise DP and Vintage Button, Linen Thread

Be sure to scroll down for the other 2 cards I made last night! I got a little carried away and thoroughly enjoyed making these cards! I will be back posting possibly Thursday if I get organised but most likely Friday! Have a HAPPY day!

Papertrey Ink Designer's Colour Challenge using Debbie's Colours!

Well, this is the second card I made last night for the colour challenge over on Nichole's blog! I had fun making this card and utilising my Everyday Button Bits stamp set which has hardly seen ink :(
I was inspired by the card debbie had made which sparked this cards creation!

Again I kept it really simple with little stamping and accessories making it stand out! A colour combo I will be using again for sure!

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Melon Berry, Spring Moss & Aqua Mist. SU! Whisper White
Ink: PTI Melon Berry. SU! Mellow Moss
Stamps: PTI Everyday Button Bits
Accessories: PTI Aqua Mist Ribbon, Aqua Mist Vintage Buttons & Melon Berry Vintage Buttons

Be sure to check out my third and final card for the challenge below!

Papertrey Ink Designer's Colour Challenge using Maile's Colours!

Hey!

This is the final card I am sharing this morning for the colour challenge over on Nichole's blog! I told you I got a little carried away!
The Raspberry Fizz and Enchanted Evening make this colour combo so rich! I sought inspiration from Maile's Blog HERE. I just turned the sketch which is a FAB LO.

Stamping was minimal on this card as I felt the Raspberry Fizz ribbon and butterflies would be fairly dominant on the card.

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Kraft & Enchanted Evening
Ink: PTI Enchanted Evening. SU! Chocolate Chip
Stamps: PTI Polka Dot Basics, American Crafts Sentiments
Accessories: PTI Raspberry Fizz Ribbon, Martha Stewart Butterfly Trio Punch, Crystal Gems & Foam Pads.

Thanks for stopping by today I hope you enjoyed the cards I have shared. I have a busy day ahead before work tomorrow. Lots of degree work a birthday card for a friends little boy to finish and the hairdressers this afternoon!

Papertrey Ink Designer's Colour Challenge using Lisa's Colours!

Welcome Back!

This is the other card I made today and I decided to Lisa Johnson's Colour Combo! Wow this was different, but I really like the results!

I have had this LO sketched out for a while and thought it would be a great one to use for this colour combo! I reached for my Turning a New Leaf set and the largest leaf image to create the background on the Spring Moss layer.

I then reached for my In Bloom set and the largest bloom and simply stamped in black and cut out and layered! I did however add some BLING to the flower layers for that added sparkle!

I think I really like this and I'm going to send it to my friend who needs HUGS as she recovers from breast cancer.
{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Kraft & Spring Moss. SU! Very Vanilla
Ink: Memento Black. PTI Vintage Cream
Stamps: PTI Polka Dot Basics, In Bloom, Turning a New Leaf & Friends 'Til The End
Accessories: Friskars Apron Lace Punch, Foam Pads, SU! Black Grosgrain Ribbon & Stickles Star Dust

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to have a few more cards to share tomorrow! Lots of degree work to be done tomorrow and getting my hair cut as it is in desperate need!

Papertrey Ink Designer's Colour Challenge using Heathers Colours!

Hey!

So the challenge today over on Nichole's blog is COLOUR! Mmmm yummy PTI colours! Well, I just had to find a spare few minutes in between degree work to make a couple of cards!
When I saw the colours Heather Nichols had chosen I thought of a baby card! So I got out my new Baby Button Bits set! The card came together really quick after I had sketched out a simple LO.

I really enjoyed this soft tone colour combo and I can see myself using it again! Most probably for more baby cards or even some Mothers Day & Spring cards!

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Kraft and Spring Moss. SU! Very Vanilla
Ink: PTI Melon Berry and Vintage Cream
Stamps: PTI Baby Button Bits, Background Basics Hearts
Accessories: PTI Vintage Cream Button, PTI Melon Berry Swiss Dots Ribbon, Foam Pads, Corner Chomper

Be sure to scroll down for my earlier post and pop back in a bit for my next PTI Designers Colour Challenge Card!

Love is in the air

Happy Tuesday!

Love is in the air as we move another day closer to Valentines day! Last night I made a super simple and quick Valentines card for Karl as he doesn't do fussy cards! It just happens that the new A Passion for Papertrey challenge is Be my Valentine!

In my last PTI order I got the Tiny Treats Valentine set and the Background Basics Hearts. I really wanted to use both sets and had a lil think and sketched out a few ideas and this is what I came up with! I am really pleased with the super clean and simple design!

I thought it quite fitting to use the plane image as Karl requested 'UP' on Bluray for Valentines day!

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Kraft & Pure Poppy. SU! Very Vanilla
Ink: PTI Vintage Cream. Memento Black
Stamps: PTI Tiny Treats Valentine & Background Basics Hearts
Accessories: Heart Button, Linen Thread, Foam Pads and Red Spica Pen

Today I squeezed in a couple of cards using the challenge colours on Nichole Heady's Blog for the PTI Anniversary. I will share them later tonight!

Yellow Heart!

Hey!

Just a quick card to share with you all! I made this for the Non-Traditional Hearts Colour Challenge that was on the CARDS blog the other week. I din't get showcased and forgot to share it with you all!

I used a non-traditional colour scheme of kraft, lemon, chocolate and aqua! It's another clean and simple card just the way I like! Though I added quite a bit of pattern even for a simple card! I used a Hero Art background stamp and also a PTI background stamp.

This card also fits into the new challenge over on A Passion for Papertrey, but I have created another card for that challenge which I will share with you all tomorrow!

On the photo below you can just about see a small detail of added bling!

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Kraft & Lemon Tart. SU! Whisper White
Ink: PTI Aqua Mist. SU! Chocolate Chip
Stamps: Hero Arts Design Block Dots & Flowers S5213 & All Occasion Messages CL272. PTI Background Basics Diamonds
Accessories: SU! Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Heart Punch & Crystal Bling!

My back is slowly getting better :) off for a relaxing spa bath in a few minutes :) I hope everyone's week is getting off to a good start. Mine is going OK and I cannot wait for Friday and Saturday as it's time for the Jolly Girls Outing! Be sure to stop by tomorrow for another card share!

An Emboss Resist Wedding Card!

Happy Friday!

Though it hasn't been all that happy here today, been suffering with back pain all day :( and have had to work on my dissertation rather than chilling out! I found a few minutes this evening to make a card to try and cheer myself up. It's worked kind of but I hate taking photo's when all the natural light has gone, so it has taken me ages and many a photo to get one I like! I must invest in a light tent to help the situation!

Any way, I made this card for the current challenge over on Nichole Heady's blog - celebrating 3 years of PTI! The challenge is to use the emboss resist technique on a project / card.

Firstly I stamped the Background Basics Hearts onto white card in Spring Rain ink. I then stamped the larger of the Fancy Flourishes with clear embossing ink and used clear EP. I then sponged pale plum and Plum Pudding over the white card.

I adhered it to a Plum Pudding matt that was punched along one edge with a Martha Stewart punch - I forget the name! The sentiment is from Giga Guidelines and stamped in Plum Pudding. The 'Wedding' part is mounted on foam pads for dimension. I added a butterfly, bow & bling to finish the card off!

{Ingredients}
CS: SU! Whisper White, PTI Plum Pudding & Spring Rain
Ink: Ranger Embossing Ink, PTI Plum Pudding, SU! Pale Plum
Stamps: PTI Background Basics Hearts, Giga Guidelines, Fancy Flourishes
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Crystal Gems, PTI Spring Rain Satin Ribbon, Martha Stewart Punches, Foam Pads & Corner Chomper

I decided I would get in the mood for making a wedding card as the new Caardvarks challenge is a wedding card! Oh and the prize ....... to be published in CARDS magazine! I might re-photograph this card and enter it but I'm hoping I will think of something even better!

Have a great weekend and I might pop in with a post on Sunday as I am at work all day tomorrow :( hopefully my back won't be hurting as much!

Papertrey Ink's 3rd Anniversary Celebration!

Hello There!

Today I am joining in with the celebrations over at PTI and Nichole Heady's blog {Capture the Moment}. The first thing I did today whilst eating breakfast was to check out the challenge. Each of the 9 designers had designed an image to celebrate and the challenge is to make a card or project using the images.
The first image I chose to use is Lisa Johnson's. I thought the image looked really elegant and wanted to keep this elegance but make a contemporary clean & simple card! I think I achieved this!

I added a little Raspberry Fizz colour to the image using Copic Markers. I matted the image to a piece of Aqua Mist CS and adhered it to the card base. A strip of Raspberry Fizz CS and Dark Chocolate punched with the apron lace punch added some colour interest. I also stamped the largest flourish from Fancy Flourishes to keep the elegance and contemporary feel!

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Kraft, Aqua Mist, Raspberry Fizz & Dark Chocolate. SU! Whisper White
Ink:SU! Chocolate Chip
Stamps: PTI Fancy Flourishes
Accessories: SU! Design Elements, Friskars Apron Lace Punch, Aqua Gems, Linen Thread, Foam Pads & Copic Markers

Below are 3 more cards I made for the challenge! I guess I just got a little carried away! I hope you enjoy looking at them & thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink's 3rd Anniversary Celebration!

Hey!

Below is the second card I have made for the challenge!
This card uses Alli Miles' image. How cute is this bear?! I coloured the bear using Copic Markers along with the balloon. Then I added some Stickles to the balloon for some added bling!

I used Damask Designs to stamp a background on the Sweet Blush CS using Sweet Blush ink. The Happy Birthday sentiment is printed onto Very Vanilla CS. I adhered the bear & balloon to the card using foam pads for dimension.

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Sweet Blush, Kraft. SU! Very Vanilla
Ink: PTI Sweet Blush
Stamps: PTI Damask Designs
Accessories: PTI Image, Star Dust Stickles, Copic Markers, Friskars Apron Lace Punch

There are 2 more post below this one with cards I made for the challenge! Thanks for looking!

Papertrey Ink's 3rd Anniversary Celebration!

Hey!

This is the third card I created for the challenge!
I decided to give Heather Nichols image a go! The cute cupcake image is gorgeous and I knew I wanted to create a repeat of the cupcake. I did this in Photoshop - really easy!

I love the colours of the cupcake image and took them through to the overall card design. I kept this card really simple to, but I think it works!

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Kraft & Lemon Tart. SU! Whisper White
Ink: SU! Chocolate Chip
Stamps: PTI Polka Dot Basics & Cupcake Collection
Accessories: PTI Summer Sunrise Grosgrain Ribbon, SU! Label Punch, Foam Pads & PTI Image

There is one more card below this post that I created for the challenge! Thanks for looking!

Papertrey Ink's 3rd Anniversary Celebration!

Hey!

This is my fourth & final post for the day!

I decided to finish off my card making using Melissa Bickford's image. I kept the card really simple! I coloured the image using Copic Markers and added some Stickles to the candle! Some aqua coloured gems and Aqua Mist Ribbon adds the finishing touches!

I stamped Polka Dots on the Kraft card base using Aqua Mist also to add some interest! The image is matted onto Lemon Tart and mounted onto the Dark Chocolate layer using foam pads!

{Ingredients}
CS:PTI Kraft, Lemon Tart, Dark Chocolate. SU! Whisper White
Ink: PTI Aqua Mist
Stamps: PTI Polka Dot Basics
Accessories: PTI Aqua Mist Polka Dot & Satin Ribbon, Aqua Gems, Copic Markers, PTI Image, Star Dust Stickles & Foam Pads

Well, it's an early start for me in the morning as I am back to work :( just for one day and then back Saturday so I will not be posting tomorrow as I have shared all the cards I made today!
