Heartfelt

Tonight I thought I'd share a card I made a while back for a magazine call but totally missed the deadline so never submitted it!

As you can see it is a sympathy card. A card for this occasion is good to have at hand for the moments when friends and family has lost someone dear to them. I can relate to this and guess I am today as the days draw closer to the 2nd anniversary of the day my mother died. It's hard to believe that it's nearly 2 years since she has been gone as it seems like yesterday that I received the phone call, it was so unexpected and I miss her loads.

Back to the card! I used a PTI and SU! set for this card and embellished it with lil butterflies and bling. I kept the colours warm and soft for comfort.

It was a special feeling when I received sympathy cards from the people who knew my mother and the letters and memories that came with them. She was certainly a special person and is missed everyday.

I am off to make a card now as I have new PTI goodies and they have been sitting on my desk waiting to be played with all day! Totally deserve a break from my dissertation for today and it's back to work tomorrow and Thursday :( There is light at the end of the tunnel as then I am off for 10 days!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Beverley, I am glad that you shared your card. It is just perfect as a sympathy card. I wish you lots of happy memories as this sad day approaches. It does get easier with time, but some times that is little comfort. Sending you an extra big hug xoxoxoxoxo

Beautiful card Bev, I just hate those white/silver traditional sympathy cards (so cold). I'm lucky enough to still have my mum but I did lose my friend 18mths ago and it's been the strangest feeling - can't believe she's not here. I know it will be a sad day for you but hope the sun shines and it's full of beautiful memories:)

Big hugs
Vicki x
