My goodness, it's Thursday already! The days really are flying by! Almost time to go back to work :( Only today and tomorrow :( then it's back to a hard slog leading up to working Christmas Day, Boxing Day & the day after :(

Oh well, I thought I would share a card I made for my Uncle, it was his birthday last Sunday. My uncle likes walking and lives in Cumbria and I thought he would appreciate a Autumnal card of sorts!

I got into a lil distress mode but not too far out of my comfort zone!! I just dabbed various distress inks over the stamp & then spritzed with water before stamping onto so MM ledger paper. The ledger paper made the ink bleed slightly which gives a lovely effect I think!

A bit of linen thread & a vintage button finished the panel off that was matted to some Chocolate Chip CS and I adhered it to the card base using foam pads. I added a simple 'Happy Birthday' sentiment & ta-da!

{Ingredients}
CS: SU! Cream, Chocolate Chip
Stamps: Hero Arts S5154 Three Ferns
Ink: various Ranger Distress Ink Pads, SU! Chocolate Chip
Accessories: MM Ledger DP, Linen Thread, Vintage Button, Foam Pads

I have a lot of college work to do today, so it's all go in the studio today! I hope to finish a Magnolia card today that I started yesterday so I will have another card share tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps & Smiles Challenge

This is my second post for today so be sure to scroll down for the first!! This card is for Stamps & Smiles Sketch Challenge over on Our Creative Corner. Well, this was a challenge but I guess thats why they are called challenges!! Lol!

Well, it's strange for me but this card has very limited stamping!! The only stamped part is the sentiment! The rest is just DP and CS!! Oh and Stickles of course!

I used a Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses DP for the house with Kraft CS which I distressed with Vintage cream for the roof, Going Grey for the edge along the bottom & the wreath is distress with Spring Moss and is created using the fern punch by Martha Stewart!

I added some crystal Stickles to the roof for an added bit of bling I think it needed and I feel has worked well! This is a totally different card for me but I feel it came out pretty nicely! It's another card for Christmas anyhow!

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Kraft, Cream from Stash
Stamps: PTI Singnature Christmas
Ink: PTI Spring Moss, Vintage Cream, SU! Chocolate Chip, Going Grey
Accessories: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses DP, Martha Stewart Punch, Button from PTI, Linen Thread, Crystal Stickles! Friskars Punches

Well, I am glad I found a bit of mojo to create today! I didn't however get very far in tidying & organising my stash! Oh well! Off out tonight for a meal & a movie, so best go get ready! Thanks for stopping by!

Lucy's Colour Challenge & Mojo Monday Sketch

Good Morning! I'm hoping my Winter & general blues won't kick in today like they have been over the past few days. I have much I would like to achieve today! I thought I would start the day by sharing a card I made using my Mojo Monday's sketch & Lucy's Colour Challenge colours!

I liked the simplicity of this sketch & this time mixed up the colours a bit with the pink & aqua taking centre stage!

I had to break out my fave Hero Arts snowman stamp at least once this year! He is so cute! I love colouring his scarf which I did using Copic Markers! My collection is slowly growing & I'm so glad that the the Sketch pens are much easier to get hold of now in the UK. I added to my collection on Saturday as I visited Sir Stampalot in Peterborough that was when the MM Slice jumped into my basket!!

Anyway, back to my card! I used PTI DP for the scalloped pieces at the top & added some aqua mist satin ribbon & bow! The sentiment is quite hard to read as it was also stamped in aqua but I feel this doesn't take the focus off Mr Snowman! I added some of my Star Dust Stickles to the snowman's hat brim & bobble & to the ends of his scarf can't be without a lil bling now!

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Kraft, Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush
Ink: VersaMagic Aqua Splash, Memento Black
Stamps: PTI Holiday Button Bits, Hero Arts H2884 Playful Snowman
Accessories: Star Dust Stickles, Copics, Foam Pads, Martha Stewart Double Scallop Paper Punch, PTI Bitty Dot Basics DP.

Hope you all have a good day & be sure to stop by soon for more card shares!

Lucy's Colour Challenge

Hey! Today I am sharing a card I have made for Lucy's Colour Challenge. I read somewhere recently how Aqua & Pink are the new Green & Red this Christmas s0 I thought I would make a Christmas card as seem to be way behind on making them this year. Anyway, I thought a challenge would help my lack of Mojo!

I decided to let the kraft take centre stage with highlights of aqua & pink & I think it turned out well.

I used a snowflake from Snowfall Additions stamped it on aqua using light pink & punched it out using a large snowflake punch. It's very subtle & quite hard to see in the photo. I added a Hero Arts felt snowflake & pearl to finish the snowflake off!

The lower section of the card is stamped with Hero Arts background stamp using aqua ink. I then added some pink pearl to the centre of the flowers. A sentiment from the Holiday Button Bits stamped on aqua using Creamy Caramel & punched out using a word window punch & adhered to the card using foam pads finishes the ensemble!

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Kraft, Aqua Mist & Sweet Blush
Ink: VersaMagic Aqua Splash, ColorBox Chalk Ink, SU! Creamy Caramel
Stamps: PTI Snowfall Additions, Holiday Button Bits, Hero Arts S5213 Dots & Flowers
Accessories: Pink Organza Ribbon, Liquid Pearls Pastel Raspberry, Hero Arts Felt Snowflakes, SU! Word Window Punch, WoodWare Large Snowflake Punch, Foam Pads, Pearls.

I am a bit happier this evening as I finish typing this post I started this morning as I have met up with my friend Kerry who over a Hot Chocolate a good chat always does me good. Well, I have more card shares tomorrow, which is amazing as I have a serious lack of Mojo to make but defo no lack of Mojo to buy & spend! Treated myself to more new goodies at the weekend which included a Making Memories Slice!!

Thanks for stopping by!

I really like using different sketches as it makes me use stamps I haven't used for a while! I bought a set of Hero Arts Christmas Sentiments last week & I broke them out today!

I stamped the Candy Cane Santa & sentiment with black pigment ink then embossed with Star Dust EP. The background on the green layer is stamped using the International Christmas Script from HA in Ranger Distress Embossing Ink & embossed with Star Dust EP also.

I coloured santa with Copics & added Stickles to his beard! I added to grosgrain ribbon & a felt snowflake with a glitter gem added to the centre of the snowflake! I really love how sparkly this card is!

We Will Remember Them ....

Happy Remembrance Sunday!

They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old. Age shall not weary them ,nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun in the morning we will remember them . . all heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us . . .

After a long day at work yesterday after a FANTASTIC Friday night I am enjoying a restful day in the studio doing college work & a little crafting too! I thought I would share another card for the current HO HO HO! challenge over on the Passion For Papertrey Blog.

This card uses the Tree Trimming Trio Stamp set. I stamped the tree in Ranger Distress Embossing Ink & Embossed with White EP. The ornaments on the tree are stamped in Enchanted Evening & you guessed it they have star dust Stickles on them!

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Kraft & Enchanted Evening, SU! Whisper White
Ink: Ranger Distress Embossing, Enchanted Evening
Stamps: PTI Tree Trimming Trio

Hoping for a White Christmas!

Happy Saturday! Today I am sharing a card I made on Thursday, my super productive day of the week so far! I'm at work today for 12 hours so I probably won't get any cards made today & I have a ton of college work to do on Sunday as it's back to work on Monday :( one thing keeping me going is a weeks holiday is fast approaching. I'll be doing DIY for the most of it but at least I'm not at work LOL!

Kristina Werner inspired me to make this card with day 2 of her Holiday Series Cards. I really liked the LO & instantly thought of this set of stamps. I coloured the letters in with a Copic (Frosted Blue) then I added some more Stickles! As my friend Kerry put it I'm getting a lil 'Stickletastic'! I think it adds a lovely lil bit of bling thats not too over powering!

The snowman's face is mounted onto a foam pad for depth & coloured using SU! Markers I had to reach!

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI: Kraft, Spring Rain, SU! Whisper White
Stamps: SU! Big on Christmas
Ink: Memento Black
Accessories: Copic Frosted Blue, Stickles Star Dust, Hero Arts Felt Snowflake, Glitter Gems, Foam Pads, PTI DP, Friskars Apron Lace Punch, white gel pen.

Oooooooh ...... I feel all Christmasy! Thanks for stopping by!

A Hero Arts Unexpected & Caardvarks Circle Card!

It's me again! Second post today ... I wonder how long this will last! LOL! Anyway, back to the point! This is another card from my productive day yesterday! I decided to incorporate Hero Arts Unexpected Colour Challenge with the New Caardvarks Circle Challenge.

I don't tend to make many circle cards but I really did enjoy making it so I may just have to make another! The colours Leslie Lightfoot had chosen on Wednesday and I guess all of the days I found a real challenge, but I gave this one a bash!

I created a very simple background paper in Photoshop using HA Merry Holiday Boarders Digital Kit. The ornaments are stamped and cut out & mounted onto the card. The Merry Ornament is up on foam pads. I added some bling a ding & there you have it!

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Enchanted Evening, SU! Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Ink: SU! Summer Sun, Garden Green, Not quite Navy & Ruby Red
Stamps: Hero Arts Merry Ornament C4208, Cheer Ornament D4214, PTI Signature Christmas, SU! Tree Trimmings
Accessories: Hero Arts Digital Kit Merry Holiday Boarders, Gems, Nesties, Foam Pads

Oh well, it's back to work tomorrow :( but we will have plenty to talk about as I'm off out tonight for a work charity night. The guys at work are doing a Full Monty for a local Baby Hospice 'Zoe's Place'. It's gonna be a laugh for a good cause & I can't wait! More Christmas cards tomorrow to share.

Bye for now & thanks for stopping by! Comments are always appreciated!

Perfect Plum!

Hello There! yesterday was a fairly productive day in the studio, I managed to do some college work & get some cards made! I happened to stop by Moxie Fab World & stumbled across the Plum Crazy Challenge! I haven't used 'Plum' colours for a while & fancied having a go. I decided to make a floral card as I have a few birthdays coming up & need some female floral cards.

I went straight to my trusty PTI In Bloom set & also used Hero Arts Antique Flower Background. I decided to use a Sketch from Our Creative Corner which really helped me & I am super pleased with this card.

I added some looped Plum Pudding Top Notch Twill at the top & some linen thread tied in a bow at the bottom! The middle layer of the bloom has stickles to add a lil sparkle!

{Ingredients}
CS: SU! Perfect Plum, Pale Plum & Whisper White
Ink: SU! Perfect Plum, Ranger Distress Embossing Ink
Stamps: PTI I Bloom, Hero Arts Antique Flower Background S5264 & All Occasion CL272

Passion for PTI Ho Ho Ho Challenge!

Hello There! Well, today I got up in the mood for Christmas & stopped by The Passion for Papertrey Blog & decided to join in on their current Challenge. Their challenge is Christmas! Not surprising as it's only 49 days away! This is the first time I have entered into a challenge over there but I'm sure I will be playing along again as my PTI stash is steadily growing!

I decided to use the supplies which were out on my desk which is overly messy! I had the Snowfall Additions set, Signature Christmas & Enchanted Evening CS & ribbon plus my Labels 1 Nesties to hand!

I kept the LO of my card real simple & was fairly pleased with the outcome! It's a card that can be made in bulk for sure as it only took me bout 15 min to put together! I added some Star Dust Stickles around the white label layer for some sparkle & added another glitter gem to the snowflake centre.

{Ingredients}
CS: SU! Whisper White, PTI Enchanted Evening & Spring Rain
Ink: PTI Enchanted Evening, Memento Black
Stamps: PTI Snowfall Additions & Signature Christmas
Accessories: Nesties Labels 1, Crop-o-dile, PTI Enchanted Evening Satin Ribbon, Stickles Star Dust, Foam Pads, PTI DP.

Well I hope to make at least one but maybe two more Christmas cards today along with doing some college work! Thanks for stopping by today!

Kick Start Mojo for Christmas!

Instead of getting other things done like college work & housework I decided to kick my Christmas card making into action! I decided to use this weeks Mojo Monday challenge! Again it's been a while since I used one of their sketches.

I decided to use a mix of PTI & Hero Arts stamps for this card. The sketch was fun & I kept my card simple!

The background was stamped using Fresh Snow ink from PTI onto Enchanted Evening CS, I really like this effect. I added some more glittery gems too! I think this sentiment is FUN from Hero Arts & it's been in my stash for a long time now!

I stamped one of the snowflakes from Snowfall additions onto Whisper White using Enchanted Evening ink & punched it out using a Woodware paper punch. I added some stickles for a glittery effect which is a lil hard to see in the photos.

{Ingredients}
CS: PTI Enchanted Evening, SU! Whisper White & Bashful Blue
Ink: PTI Enchanted Evening & Fresh Snow
Stamps: PTI Snowfall & Snowfall Additions, Hero Arts Think of Christmas C3203
Accessories: Stickles Star Dust, Woodware Snowflake Punch, Foam Pads, Friskars Apron Lace Punch, Glitter Gems

2 Challenges in 1 card!

WOW! I really don't know where the days are going! Time just seems to flying & I'm just about keeping up! I found a little time & inspiration the other night to make a couple of cards. The card I am sharing today was inspired by 2 challenges.

The first challenge I stumbled across whilst blog hopping! I really like Dawn's style it really appealed to me & so I bookmarked her blog & so came across a fun challenge she posted!

The second challenge I decided to incorporate is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. It has been a while since I participated in this so thought I'd give it a go!

Christmas is fast approaching & I haven't really knuckled down to making cards yet which is about right I always leave things till the last minute! Anyway, I thought the colours were very Christmasy & so I dug out some of my Hero Arts Xmas Stamps!

I really like this Angel stamp but it was the first time it was inked up for this card! The sentiment is from PTI Signature Christmas - the sentiments in this set are so good!

I added a Hero Arts felt snowflake & a glitter gem for a finishing touch! I am really quite pleased with the outcome of this card!

{Ingredients}
CS: Rich Razzleberry, Night of Navy, BAshful Blue & Cream from SU!
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Night of Navy from SU!
Stamps: Hero Arts Heart Angel E4856, Winter CM005, PTI Signature Christmas
Accessories: Hero Arts Felt Snowflakes, Labels 1 Nesties, Grosgrain Ribbon from Stash! Apron Lace Friskars Punch, glitter gem from stash!

I would have had it posted yesterday but my head was thumping after a study day at work & I am fussy and like to take my photo's in daylight which is quite hard as the nights draw in so quick at this time of year!

Thanks for stopping by!
